Has anyone ever lost anything through UPS?
I sent my PI converter to them last monday and they recieved it on wednesday. They fixed it and sent it back this Monday. Well i went to UPS to pick it up yesterday after i had them hold it for me and they said it wasnt there. Well i called Jack at PI and he said it got scanned in little rock yesterday evening so i was like "ok, it will be here in the morning." I go by there this morning and they cant find it. It turns out, it got lost in between Tenn. and Little rock. Well, Jack started a trace on it and im hoping they find it and have it coming this way but what are the chances? Has anyone had this happen? and what was the outcome?

That sux. And thats unacceptable.
Tracking numbers on your End and PI's end will prove it wasnt your or their fault. So you should be taken care of. Any insurance on the shipment?
Terry and Jack at precision are good guys and they Will help you out.
Good luck.

I sold two drag radials to a guy in California, one tire arrived at his house with all kinds of wrong stickers for other locations on it, one to a tire shop about an hour from his house. UPS would not let him or tell him anything, only the shipper could do anything or find out any info.
They did a "investigation" which was a guy looking at the tire and saying poor packaging. They denied my claim because of poor packaging. I laid into them and said I agree that if it was damaged, I would be at fault, but the poor packaging had nothing to do with losing it. They reversed the decision.
Since I did not insure it, UPS only insures stuff for $100. I sold them for lil over $200, half was losst, $100 to my buyer was ok.
Anywho, since I shipped it through my work, the check had to be mailed to my corporate office, it took weeks to trickle down through the bullshit of my company to me, then I was able to give my buyer the money.
This all took 3 months.

if it indeed is lost, PI will need to be the ones whom start and authorize the tracking and file the claim. They are liable to make sure you get the package ( through their preferred carrier) and they will receive the claimed, insured amount.
