Hauling with a lowered nbs silverado? Ideal suspension setup for hauling?
Wassup yall. I have a 00' silverado RCSB stock everything with the 4.3 that i'm looking at lowering 2 inches in the front and 4 inches in rear. It's my work truck/daily so stuff like boxes of flooring, appliances, tools, machinery, etc. gets thrown in the bed on a regular basis. Loads that are too big to fit in my bed get thrown in a trailer.
I see a lot of yall have your trucks lowered, I'd appreciate some insight on your experiences with lowering the suspension and still doing truck things with it. I've found a couple threads of people hooking up trailers to their lowered trucks so i'm not necessarily too worried about that--moreso, about bottoming out/scraping when I got stuff in my bed. I'm willing to spend some more money than the traditional drop shackles and hangers in the rear but of course I'm on a budget here, otherwise i'd slam this thing to the ground and buy a separate work truck.
Again, any insight is very appreciated thank you

Just put a cnotch on it and you'll be fine. I have had more weight than most in my 2/4 drop with no notch. I don't bottom out or scrape lol I'm sure I have pics somewhere on my phone.

I propose helper bags. You could go as simple as a manual setup with Schrader valves or a fully automated system with electronic controls, level sensors, air tank and on-board compressor. Air-lift would have a bolt-on kit for just about any application. I had an Air-lift kit on my 2000 back in the day when I daily drove it with a 2/4 drop (no notch) and now have a home-made kit on my 2012 with a 4/6 that I tow/haul with regularly with.

I have some helper bags that have all the brackets to bolt them up but the bags are both ripped. Not sure if replacement bags would be cheap or if you’d be better off buying a whole new setup but they came off my 2000 Silverado if your interested in them.
