If you use the HD grille/06-07(Classic) without the HD hood, is there going to be any interference between the two?

I have an 05 RCSB.

 

im pretty sure the hood that comes on all the 06-07 classic is an hd hood.....someone correct me if im wrong.....the front bumper on the 06-07 classic hd is bigger i know of, but that wont affect you with the grill, just throwin that out there...

 

if you buy the 06/07 grill you will need the 06/07 hood

 

oh is that what he was asking? yeah the 03-05 grill wont work with the 06-07 classic hood....if your wanting to get the 06-07 classic hood then you gotta get the 06-07 classic grill..........

 

Your standard 05 Grille will work with the 05 up HD Hood,

But there will be a gap.

The Big Chevy HD that Kelderman suspension lifted hasd this hood grille combo on it. Might be on their website. It has music note graphics wrapped on the body and is silver birch.

Will using the 06-07 grille with the standard 05 hood create an overlap of the hood and grille?

You can use the newer hood with the older grill, but it won't look right with the gap and overhang. You cannot use the newer grill with the older hood though

 

Well, no one would ever say exactly why the HD grille would not work, just that it "doesn't".

So I bought one, and yes, it works just fine. I measured both the old and new, and they are the EXACT same dimensions when it comes to the mounting tabs.

The only difference is the older style grille has that curve at the top to match the older style hood, as the newer HD hoods are flat. You can see the gap created in the picture.
