well? should i apply? there is a fair chance that they would accept me. it sure sounds like it would be fun.
reading the rules i see a couple of problems. one is a roll bar. either i run slower than 11.5's or i put a cage in. i will never win so it would just be for fun so maybe make two conservative runs in the upper 11's so as to not get into trouble and then go all out on the 3rd run.
other problem i see is the 10 gallons of fuel. i would prety much have to get a cell since the intank set up i have will suck air at the launch with anything under 3/8 of a tank. 10gallons would probably be right around 3/8 of a tank.
apply or not
cage or not
dr's or stock tires, might break on dr's but i think they might get me well into the 10's, there would be a certain cool factor to busting some good numbers on stock tires, i am sure i would be the only one there on stock tires.
it isn't too far away, about 10hours. i think i would drive it just so i could say i did.

To run 11s you require a fire jacket, driveshaft loop, 5-point harness, helmet, roll-bar etc. Unless the rules have changed all that also. I know the roll-bar thing chnaged but the rest is the same no?

I think you should get the cage and the rest of the safety equipment. I learned my lesson about the driveshaft loops, and I thank my lucky stars I can out as well as I did. Let's face it ... some of our trucks are getting fast, scary fast at that. We need to start thinking safety.
That being said, drive it in there on stock tires and stock exhaust and whip some ***. You've prolly got a good hand on the field as it sits.
