How to destroy lq9 (pics 56 k NO)

whats the rest of your set up? what fuel? any meth? intercooled?

that motor should take 10psi all day long but not if you needed better fuel. on an lq4 10psi on pump gas is borderline and thats with an intercooler.

IF you can tell, see if there is a dark carbon ring at the top of the cylinder. Generally if you go lean, the ring wont be all the way around. Preignition usually burns a hole in the piston. Detonation will get the ringland.

91 octane, no meth ,water to air intercooled.

I'm confused. Why would his LQ9 be able to take 10psi all day long but the LQ4 on 10psi and pump gas be pushing it? I thought the LQ4 would take boost better due to the lower CR?

Sorry to see your engine like that, I hope you figure it out. I'm voting on it leaned out somehow.
