A new module is a couple of Hundred bucks, but I'd try the re-flash firts. Most of the time if the re-program don't fix it, the you have a sensor in the Encoder motor that goes bad and we just replace the sensor and you're ready to go.

My money says, do the re-flash....then replace the sensor if that don't fix it. I'll even help you out with that. After you re-flash it if it still don't correct it....PM me and I'll help you get it fixed.

asked a gm tech today what he thought might be the problem whenn I said it was U1026 code/ lost communication with the t-case, he said it could be broken wires, ground, t-case burned up?, tccm, Ill call and ask them about the reflash though

Just a thought, the battery in my truck barely holds a charge anymore especially with the cold weather, everytime I go to start it, it takes a few seconds before it turns over and sounds like it might not, but usually does, could that cause the 4wd problem?

Check your ATC fuse in the fuse box under the hood.. Its the Automatic Transfer Case. that might be a problem.

well I can get a 241 transfer case(manual shift) from a junk yard with only 150,000 KMs on it for 500 bucks, I think Ill just swap my autocrap out and put in the dead reliable floor shift, should be a very easy swap from what I read!!! then all my darn trouble should be gone when I remove the tccm and all the switches eh? Good upgrade also for when I go sas someday
