How do I tell if my 4x4 switch has gone bad?

My money says, do the re-flash....then replace the sensor if that don't fix it. I'll even help you out with that. After you re-flash it if it still don't correct it....PM me and I'll help you get it fixed.

asked a gm tech today what he thought might be the problem whenn I said it was U1026 code/ lost communication with the t-case, he said it could be broken wires, ground, t-case burned up?, tccm, Ill call and ask them about the reflash though
Just a thought, the battery in my truck barely holds a charge anymore especially with the cold weather, everytime I go to start it, it takes a few seconds before it turns over and sounds like it might not, but usually does, could that cause the 4wd problem?

well I can get a 241 transfer case(manual shift) from a junk yard with only 150,000 KMs on it for 500 bucks, I think Ill just swap my autocrap out and put in the dead reliable floor shift, should be a very easy swap from what I read!!! then all my darn trouble should be gone when I remove the tccm and all the switches eh? Good upgrade also for when I go sas someday
