Default How do you loosen flexplate bolts?

Engine is in truck so I have limited mobility under there. These things have really short heads and I'm afraid I'm going to round them off or bust my knuckles. It's an early gen 3 and has never had it removed before. Rear main is leaking. Should I try to heat them with a butane torch to loosen the lock tite? I was trying a regular 6 point socket and it felt like it was barely gripping the bolts. This was supposed to be one of the easier parts but you know how that goes.

Ratchet around the crank pulley to hold it in place and a 15mm wrench. I like using a ratchet wrench once it's broke loose.

I just used a prybar holding the flywheel and a socket and ratchet on the bolts. Worked well doing it by myself.

A impact wrench always works for me.

I just use a 3/8" impact with a universal 15mm socket.

if your using a 6 point socket and it feels like its barely gripping it sounds like your not using the right size socket?

I just heated the bolts with a propane torch and they came off easy with a regular box wrench. The way the socket is machined at the edge, and the way the bolt heads are really short made me think I was going to round them off.
