I have a 04 GMC with the Bose system, I want to re aim the sub... from the back its loud, but you cant even hear it a little bit up front. what gives???

you cant do it with out rebuilding the entire consule custom. and that wouldnt be worth it, ur better off just unpluging the stock and adding an after make sub in the back.

how do you get to it??? can you wire a aftermarket 8" sub to the factory bose amp???

you get to it by talking apart the top of ur consel, the amp is underneath the storage aread under the arm rest.

while you could wire up a different speaker to that amp I wouldnt do it that way, first of unless you got the y91 amp which you dont ( unless you have a denali or escalade or the NAV radio at the very least ) then the amp in there isnt known for its SQ or power plus theres confilicting reports on how the wiring on the amp is set up for the sub so with out a pin out schematic on it i wouldnt mess with it....What i would do ( and i did do a while back ) is get the PAC interface that plugs into the harness behind the radio that gives you the RCA preouts, everything works like factory with the onstar and everything. and use those rcas to go to a small amp and sub.
