shift at 6200 with LS6 cam. will soon shift at 66or6700 with custom grind. v8, have you upgraded your rod bolts to shift that high? what specs are your cam

nope motor is completly stock except for patriot dual springs and hardend push rods. cam is a 226 226 585 585 112

as long as you have the cam, springs, and pushrods, these motors can turn 7k no prob.

Stock cam and I shift about 5700 to 5900. limiter is at 6200, but it does not pull any more that high.

good deal, glad to have restored faith in my rod bolts after reading so many threads where people say they arent too strong when approaching 7k

I've got a 6L, dual srings, cam, hardened pushrods, Radix, and Katech rod bolts.....I still shift at 6000rpm because thats where I stop making power. You can shift up to 7K if you want but if you quit making power at 6200rpm, you're just wasting time and stressing the engine for no reason. Get it on a dyno and see what works best for your set-up. My opinion

Must be nice, If DiabloSport would get their a$$es into gear and fix my programmer, I would shift around there too. Kind of frustrating when you adjust the shift point and rev limiter then go out and hammer it and the truck hits a brick wall at 5500.
