I know you can upgrade the motor to take the rpms, but what about the tc and the tranny. Are they realyl designed to spin that high or have the bands clamp down on gears spinning that fast?

i have never heard any problems with a tranny spinning too fast...v8 has stock rod bolts and stuff and he spins to 6800....i know my tranny will go, thats just a matter of time and im pretty sure the converter will be able to hold. its a 3200(3400). i have finally come to decide on the F5 on a 112

dude that is as easy as changing u'r plug and wires i would not turn a motor more than 6200 to long before changing rod bolts.
i know their r some people turnning stockers 6400 r 6500 but i would not do it.
rod bolts r the weakest part of this whole motor!
