how long do you let cammed your truck warm up before you drive

I have never let mine warm up. I just get in it and go. I do take it easy for a few minutes thou.

Same here, i just hop in and go. Ive been in a hurry and ran it quite hard soon as i got on the road. But usually im easy on it so i dont have to worry bout it.

x3. start give it maybe 5 seconds and throw it in gear. keep rpm below 2k until temp needle moves a lil, then it's ***** to the wallsthat was with 247/255 .632 lift cam. never broke a spring. it doesnt get very cold here in texas though. during the summer i think the motor is warmed up without ever touching the key lol

Me too. The only time I let mine warm up is when I want the heater to defrost the windshield during the winter. This cold winter weather is getting old.

I can't let my truck idle over 2 min 45 seconds or it will go into REP mode. I just drive it easy until it is completely up to operating temp.

I let the needle move then go. I am not that worried about my springs though.

OP. I see your worried about mpg. With a cam ?
Just curious cause I've never gotten a deffinative answer. How many mpg w the cam did u lose
I ask cause I'm dying to do a cam : ) but it's my dd. u know the story. We get carried away I know I am. Thx

With a 3600-3700 stall converter that is fairly loose, its hard keeping it under 3k. Went from 12mpg to 9mpg. But I've been letting it idle to full operating temp before I drive it.
