Hahah gotta love just being able to add HP every time you do a mod. Hell, if one glasspack gives you 10-15 hp, why not install 10 of them and get 100-150 hp??

lmao that's great.
last time I was at the track there was a few kids that went to school with me that were there at the track. They were like "hey man your truck is pretty quick for being pretty stock, you got a chip in it or what. my buddy put a chip in his vette and made him like 2 seconds faster in the quarter".
i just bust out laughin and walked off. wasn't worth my time/frustration. plus the funnel cake at the concession stand was callin my name

"Yeah it's tuned ...just put in new points, condenser, rotor and adjusted the Rochester...on my 4.8" How many wouldn't even catch that?

Also, how would someone hear a 4.3 and think it was a 5.3. Aren't they familiar with the very different inherent engine and exhaust sounds between 6 and 8 cyl engines?

He was tellin me the other day that his truck would smoke mine because...His 05 5.3 ECSB chevy has 285hp stock and then he's put a HPP3(worth 25hp) on it, Some cai that gave him 27hp and 22tq and a fake dual glass pack setup that was prolly worth 10-15 and some other stuff and believes he's got about 350hp prolly. I told him what mine did on the dyno after the tune and he laughed and said I got screwed and that I had actually lost hp and that I should get my money back. But you you can't explain anything to this guy because he knows everything cuz he read it in a magazine
tell that basterd to come down here so he can make 210 on the dyno

I get the "Chip" question from time to time. However, my favorite story was from a guy that works in my building. He has a 2005 Denali Truck. I assume it has a 6L. All stock. He might be capable of changing the oil by himself but I'm not sure.

It's no secret I have a few mods on the Tahoe. So he asks me what hp I put down.
I say: "450 to the wheels"
He says "I thought it was supercharged?"
Me: "Yes, it is."
Him: "Well mine puts down 345hp and its all stock....Have you changed the pistons yet?"
I asked: "Why change the pistons?"
Him " Because you wil make a lot more power if you change the pistons"
Me:
Him: "450hp doesnt seem like a lot"
Me: "I guess I'll look into changing the pistons"
Him: " "

I tried to explain that I had changed the engine/posi/gears/cam/springs/added a BLOWER!! however, He was pretty sure he could beat me in any race, dig, roll, 1/4. I told him to let me know when he's ready. I had a headache at that point.
