I'd say 280+rwhp and at least 300rwtq

Rear axle ratio makes a difference also. My LQ9 with 4.10 ratio puts out 289 HP and 320 Ft-Lbs at the rear wheels. That's with just a tune and drop in K&N.

Mine is TOTALLY STOCK with a good tune and cat-back. LQ4 4L60E did around 300/300. This was on a Mustang Dyno...not one of those DynoJet hampster wheels.

How did you come up with that one?

How did I come up with that? I have seen it. Oh, I also teach math at the University here. It is just simple mathematics.

Take a truck with 3.73 gears and run it on a dyno that measures HP at the rear wheels and get a baseline. Change gears to a lower ratio and run it again. With lower gears, more HP will be "seen" at the rear wheels. It is simple math. The rear axle ratio multiplies torque. The lower the gears, the more torque multiplication you will see.

As I said I have also seen it. My neighbor owns a Dynojet dyno and I hang out at his shop quite a bit. I have seen the difference a set of gears can make. The place I work also has a new Mustang dyno with magnetic braking.

Mine was on a Mustang dyno also, but loaded. It has a magnetic brake and simulated wind drag and weight of my truck. Is that the way yours was run? Those are pretty high numbers for an LQ4 stock.

There is some difference in the gearing as far as rwhp, but not big. The biggest reason for the difference is in the tire speed. It takes alot more hp to turn the tires and differential to 160mph tire speed with a taller gear on the dyno than it would to say 130mph with a deeper gear. My guess would be around 300rwhp and 320ftlbs torque.

I didn't think they were that high. I do have a cat-back and air intake, whatever that is worth. I don't know about simulated wind drag and all of that ****, I would think that would be hard to simulate between a truck and an F-body or corvette due to aero drag...but I know Jack ****. I do know that my truck with a "safe" tune and those mods I listed (and a TT3000 converter if that matters to ya) put down like 297/303 or something, the graph is somewhere on here. I'm still not buying the rear ratio thing.

Mine was run in 3rd gear (1:1) up to about 5300 rpm, with a 3.42 gear and a 28.9 inch tire.
