how much for programming foglights?
when i bought my truck it didn't come with the foglights, so now i have it all set up...wiring harness, lights, etc. and if i remember correctly, the lights have to be programmed into the computer which requires a visit to the dealer and a tech II. question is, anyone know how long this will take and how much the dealer is gonna bill me for?

When I added fog lights, they told me it would be about 60 bucks. I ended up going to cheap way and using an aftermarket relay and wire harness which was like 10 bucks.

ZeroG10201 bought some aftermarket foglights (PILOT i think) and we installed them in 15 min. they came with a remote, were hard wired into the truck, and have nothing to do with the computer.

Charlie Thomas Chevrolet quoted me 30 dollars for the programming. Talk to Gary Dunford. He is one of the service managers. He's a performance nut, and will cut you a good deal if you shoot the breeze with him.

If Charlie Thomas doesn't work out, if you buy the light kit from the dealer, I would insist they comp the programming or keep shopping. Or at least try that route. $30 is not to bad I guess.

$60 is cheap compared to what i've found so far here in houston. most expensive...$120(beck and masten gmc). cheapest...$72(champion chevrolet). anyone know of a place besides dealers that can program foglights?
