If you remove seat, does it create a SES light or anything? I thought some sensor would create problems w/ airbag due to seat removal? I was under impression 1 sensor that trips airbag was on core support & required such and such speed at say a 15* degree angle or something like that. That angle was needed to prevent unwanted bag deployment. And, I thought the other was under seat.

That's why I never took out mine for track use. Fear. I would like to see how much weight it'd shed tho.

I'm pretty happy with the weight of my truck right now. I think about trying to remove more weight, but everytime I do, I just look in the mirror and I see at least 30lbs that I should remove first. I'm just going to hire a jockey to drive my truck.

It's hard to get these things to a low weight without going to extremes. The lowest I have been able to get mine down to since the 80e swap was 4855. That was removing jack, spare, front sway, rear seat, tailgate, and rollpan instead of bumper. I was trying to get to at least 4600 but no luck.
