Default I need ballpark horsepower estimates!

With the mods in my Sig. and only running about 3 to 4 lbs. of boost, dyno had my right at 300 HP but just under. I have on the way a Lunati 212/212 .531/.531 113 voodoo cam and I am going to go with the STS intercooler and a tranny built by FLT. Problem is, I need a TC so I called up YANK and he needs to know what kinda power im ganna be putting down ofcourse to match the correct stall for my set up. A converter builder is the last person I wanna provide incorrect info to. I am thinking that I need to have a 3000 but Dave at YANK is saying 3200 so im on the fence. Anyone with a similar set up that can either give me their numbers or estimate what mine will be to get a feel for where I need to be in stall. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

those seem like awfully low numbers for a turbo setup...

Do you tow any? With that cam a 3200 sounds about perfect

Well remember I am not running much boost but I feel that even that does not excuse what numbers I made....the lack of power is due to the poor tuning I recieved. I don't tow anything more than my jetski or a trailer with a fourwheeler or two...nothing serious. Yea dave at YANK seems to think thats the converter for me...i just dont wanna tell him a wrong HP range and then me not be able to benefit from the stall ya know

Did you happen to speak with a Lunati cam rep on your camshaft choice? It seems that there might be a bit much overlap by just looking at the specs you posted. Just want to make sure it will work in combination with your turbocharger, and not bleed off the positive pressure you are generating in your intake tract.

Yes I spoke with James at Lunati and a few others and they all recommended that duration straight pattern cam since I have a forced induction set-up. I am thinking that with the added mods coming soon...i'll be putting down HP in the high 300's to low 400's...Does this sound right to anyone?

better find a better tuner if you plan on running a cam and a turbo

def need bigger injectors too. running 42lb injectors you are maxed out or at least i would not trust it any higher than 3psi to 5psi! those numbers are extremely low as a n/a 6.0 put down 301 on the dyno dynamics....granted the numbers differ..... good luck and I suggest calling justin at blackbearperformance.com he can hook u up!

So you want to know about how much power you will put down with that cam on 3# boost?
kinda confused, you just said you put down shy of 300.

with the 42s you should be able to get 8# boost or so before they are maxed out. Depends on your AFR tho.
From what ive learned, 114lsa seems to work best with a turbo setup. but the 212 duration seems just right for the 5.3.

I had a Yank TT3000 and it worked well with my 6L and STS.
What converter is the 3200?

I will def. give him a call because the tuning is really what I lack right now, thanks!

Sry for the confusion, I was wondering what I will put down with around 8lbs. seeing as that will be what i run. the 3200 is also a YANK converter...I talked to dave up at YANK and thats what he recommended but as you know he builds the converter based on what power i tell him I will have so thats why i wanted to get yalls opinions on what estimated numbers i should make...u seem to have a similar set up, so i definately feel save in going with the YANK 3000 which is what i told him i would probably do.
