I need more power from my 4.8
I have a 2003 Silverado with the 4.8 and 70k on it. It is an extended cab short bed. I recently picked up a 26 ft enclosed trailer. The truck towed it home fine but im afraid once I load it up with the race car or race truck that it will be to much for the truck. I dont want to go tearing into the motor nor can I afford a turbo or supercharger. As of right now the truck has only a flowmaster muffler, and a KN cold air kit. What should I do?? Please dont say buy a new truck its not an option.
Thanks Erik

A good tune, 4.10's and an Eaton would be a good start. Tranny upgrades would be a good investment along w/ a good cooler as mentioned above....
