I'm having the rear springs de-arched......
For any of you that have been following my attempts to find the best way to lower the rear of my truck I have found my solution.....
I talked with Randy at Skips' Springs in Las Vegas yestersday....he is going to de-arch the rear springs 3" next Thursday (hopefully), de-arching will still allow me to use the full load-carrying capacity and towing-capacity of the truck and I won't run into any axle-wrap issues either......he will do the removal, de-arching, and re-install for $275 (a pretty fair price I think)

(Guys feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!) In the attempts I have seen on this issue from two friends, the ride quality suffers HORRIBLY. Hopefully yours will not. Good luck. Let's see pics once it's done.

This is not the typical heat-the-springs-with-a-torch type of de-arching that tends to cause shitty ride quality and reliability issues......this is done in a 500-ton hydraulic press designed for re-arching and de-arching springs (I asked...I was worried about the method used)
