Ok so I woke up early this morning (day off MLK) to get my tire fixed because it had a nail in it. I. All of a sudden a Lightning passes me hauling ***, so i catch up to it. Keep in mind I my truck is pretty much stock internally look at the sig. Right off the bat I knew that I would lose. But I do like racing and plus I like seeing that they cannot completly just kill me. So we got a light I punch it and my tire is doing a one wheel wonder. I have no traction, I end up losing... but its all good. Well we i am next to him he rolls his window down and starts talking ****!!!

First thing the old fat dude says "Chevy is just pathetic" and he goes on an on saying that chevy sucks. He then says "Chevy just thinks they could put an "SS" on anything... my lightning is blown... blah, blah, blah." MY JAW was dropped. I think he was mentioning about the SS becuase he saw my SS bumper... but come on SS trucks dont come RC. I was pissed and starting talking crap back at him. Told him that my truck is stalk and the TRITON is the biggest piece of crap that is only good as a lawnmower!!! I was so pissed off. This happened about 3 hours ago and my blood is still boiling!!

I totally understand run what you brung and that is fine, but then you want to go on and say that my truck is Superior to yours and CHEVY is Pathetic just pissed me off!! That is it. I was planning on putting a TR 220 cam with a verter and shift kit, but I am thinking of going a diffrent route and putting the 6.0 and then blow it. I am serious about this. The only reason why i have not done these mods is cause i me and my fiance are getting married and I am in college... but now that i think about it, I will get another job in the sake of never losing to this guy again. I am pissed off!!!

 

You should have just said "do you feel better now ? " Followed with "have a nice day". And drove off with no further comment. He was just looking for a reaction from you and you gave him what he wanted IMO. Those kind of people just have issues. He would've pissed my off too .... but he never would've known that lol !

 

i would have told him that im sorry that ford thinks they have to put a SC on everything to make power and that mine is a non FI motor and again mention the triton and recommend to let me put a roots type SC on my truck (magnuson ) and well see how things turn out

 

don't get too wound up. i had a guy cuss me out the other night for spanking his ***. just goes to show you that idiots drive all sorts of cars/trucks. mod up, and go hunting. next time he won't be saying chevy sucks ***.

I know about the fiance thing. I have to pay for a wedding AND new house this year. You arent as far off as you think if you really want to smoke him. Go with a nice cam, converter, and a 150 shot!! That would spank his *** and wouldnt break the bank. I dont like to spend money from work on my truck as I feel that work money should be "ours" and go towards things for us . Im weird like that. Ive done some personal training and written diets or helped my parents with things to get a little extra cash

 

Don't worry about it man, hes got a lot more power than you, and just like you said, with that charger on it, you expected him to pull you. Probably had alot more that you don't know about as far as mods go, most of the "L" owners are that way, but the few I've came across at the tracks and all have been pretty cool, they kinda know they are classed by themselves when running. But I've seen some stock ones run just as slow as I do, so there is some that are slow, but you still gotta respect it for what it is even though its a ferd, right.....LOL

 

Yeah like racehead said maybe I should have not have said anything back to him he was just feeding his little game, but hell you dont think of that, during that split second. I have never ran into someone like that before. Hell he even beat me. I really think he had some problems. But doesn't change the fact that I am still pissed off!! But I will be modding I just have to figure out what direction to take.

 

you should've asked him if he wanted a cookie for beating you, that one always gets interesting results

 

upgrade to a posi rearend, some good tires and a nice 150 wet shot and that should help a little.
