Yep Chevy sucks big *****! That is why my ext. cab truck can beat a Mustang GT. BTW, my truck is almost stock. Get a Radix and make that guy feel stupid!

The problem with Chevy/GMC is the corvette. Plain and simple.
While they could produce a Lightning esq truck- ie with a screw SC (magnusson whatever) they wont. Why??? Because it would start to make the Corvette look bad. (heaven forbid). Dodge has the Viper so the SRT-10 will never get close to the times, and Ford has the mustang which the Lightning smokes so either way they are both safe. A SC Chevy truck starts to make the 'oh holy Corvette' guys nervous. Look at the Grand Nationals and Syclones/Typhoons. Both started making the Vette look bad and *poof* they were gone.

Dont blame your truck, blame management.

I really think that even if they do make a bad *** performance truck, Corvette would not suffer at all. Chevy does have the capability to make these trucks fast, and that would be 13 sec fast. But they will never reach the level of the all around performance machine. Hell we cant take 120 degree corners at 80 miles per hour. So as far as the all around performance package Corvette will never have any compitition.

AND BTW OneQuick 5.3 hooked it up with a TR220 cam. He gave me a bad as deal. So the mods will begin.

 

I agree. There really isnt going to be much competition for the vette. Chevy seems to be pretty entrenched with making the vette a supercar killer. Im still in the process of pitching a C6 ZO6 to my parents. They get new vettes every 2 or 3 years and this time they want the matching convertables. The pleading will start this weekend.
On another note, the SSR with the LS2 is a step in the right direction IMO.
