This sucks, I live in TX not far from Houston and I could not imagine my truck getting stolen. I just wonder if the dog did not bark was it someone he knew? May have been a personal hit. I had my Tama Double bass drum set stonlen out of my studio about a year and a half ago and even with finger prints the cops were a complete waste of my time. I had over 12 grand in my drum set and the cops just told me the chances were slim on finding out who did it. I keep 2 boxs of buck shot for my 12 ga for when I do find out.

Gap insurance pays the difference between what you owe and what the insurance company gives you, in case it is less.
As far as burning cars, they do it mostly to destroy evidence. Sometimes people will do it if they owe waaayyy too much on a vehicle (like these people who give 7 yr loans at 19% on used cars). We get tons of auto fires in the summer, but where I work a lot of them are for revenge. When they get into a fight over drug territory, or women, they burn each others cars.

what a shame... i wonder why there wasnt any evidence of broken glass from the break in or if not by the window.. wonder how he picked the lock... and ya, why didnt the dogs bark? Whoever did it was slick... thats so sad... putting that much work into a vehicle and have something like that happen. Poor Illnalli(sp)
