Default It's Been A Good Ride

Just wanted to let ya'll know I am saying goodbye to the truck world for awhile. Sold my bagged 01 RC SB w/ 6.0 LQ9 and the new 6.0 block I just got, for $16k. I am switchin over to the Blue Oval, against my normal bias. Picked up a 2002 Mustang Cobra, dark blue, coupe,SC, 5 spd, only 32,000 miles on it!! For only $14k, got from a guy out of Nor Cal.

This guy looks to be almost 100 years old. LOL. Car is immaculate, never seen rain or snow, covered in garage for most of its short life. It is bone stock except for some type of tuner (superchips, hypertech, etc ?? I am not sure) that he is giving to me with it. This original owner still has window tags from it and every single invoice from the stealership for all the work that has been done to it, which has only been oil changes every 2600k miles on the nose, has had brakes done once, a tranny flush, 2 coolant flushes, and a TB service, and wheels and tires have been rotated at every oil change.

No more truck for me, I should be gettin the car delivered to my house by Saturday!!

I appreciate all the help all of you guys have been to me with the help on my truck and I hope I contributed some also. I am sure I will stay on here to see whats up and whats goin on, but its time for me to move on to a Mustang Forum and let the mods begin. Right? Thanks Again for all the help ya'll have been.

Later!!

maybe he put the wrong year? Wasn't there a year where they didn't make a cobra besides 2000 (when they only offered the R)?

Sorry my bad................ checked paperwork again it is an 03. Yeah I dont think the 02's came factory SC, not sure?? ............... It is an 03 though sorry.

I sold my truck to the little brother of a friend of mine back home in Minnesota. He just graduated highschool and had $20k to spend for a graduation gift. I sold him the truck, motor, and all other misc. parts and accessories I had laying around for it. His family runs a few dealerships back there so he knows what hes getting and what it is really worth.

I considered keeping the truck and getting the Cobra also but there is no way I could afford both with payments, insurance, and of course most important of all "MODS".

Tellin you guys though this car is cleaner than anything I have ever seen. The owner told me when him and his wife would get in arguements, he would go out and wax the car. And as far as I could tell this happened pretty often. This car is in prestine condition, prolly better than new. I am looking forward to driving something a bit different. I assume alot of ya'll are like me and get bored fairly quickly with a vehicle, thats why we mod them up right? But as much as I loved my truck I was beginning to get kinda annoyed with it.

Just remember to visit here so you don't lose all touch with reality.

Congrats on the new car, it sounds like a real nice Cobra.

Take it easy, maybe we'll see ya around...this place is addictive.

Yup, 03' was the first year for the SC. That's why I asked.

Those things are a blast with only a couple G's in mods.
