I don't think so. Chapman resells the Magnuson warranty for $200, which is for the drivetrain only. Which means, technically, that Magnuson would be charged with fixing your trucks tranny, rear end, etc. if it breaks, not Chapman. But I bet since Chapman is really pushing their SuperTrucks and has their reputation to uphold, they would do the service.

Still doesn't solve the issue of being in Texas when your truck breaks. What do you do then?

This is a decision that pretty much everyone has faced. The debate will never lend itself to a decisive victor. I chose to build my truck exactly how I wanted it. It ends up being cheaper to start, but you run into alot of snags on the way. When something breaks I pay for an upgraded piece. My truck will never be exactly how I want it and that is the fun of it. If you think that what you recieve will be everything you want then I say go for it. That 36K warranty can go pretty quick though and I swear they build these things to break at around 37K .

Almost get you a viper truck for that much cash. I agree you can build a better truck for that.

When is chevy going to build a high preformance truck that a blue collar guy can afford?

They probably wont ever build one but this to me is a badass truck and I cant pass it up. I just talked to a salesman at one of the only dealerships in Texas that has these trucks and he said prices are very negoticable right now plus they have a $4000 incentive!!!! So I can drive out for under 30,000 with this truck!!!!!!!! Not bad.

I have to agree financing a package deal would be best. Warranties don't mean sh*t, I've only found one dealer that would honor them honestly and fix what's wrong. I drive 40k a year, so warranties are useless to me. You just have to watch financing though, they like to screw you!! Most people don't know that the Finance Manager makes a killing off of you by selling you extended warranties and a higher APR. The best way to buy a new vehicle, is to not trade anything in, because you'll be at their mercy. That's why I'm stuck with 2 car notes, they won't give sh*t on trade-ins.

I think if it were me I would drive to Arizona and buy one of Chapman's SuperTrucks, made to order, and finance 100% of it.
