Default Katskins

I ordered my Katskins seats today. I should get them by the end of the month. I did not order the $100.oo install kit. So if you Katskin owners can give me any help on the install I would be much thankful. Like what tools am I going to need? And anything that will make the install go smoother?

The kit comes with this ....

-Some silicon spray lubricant... thats just if you have a hard time rolling the leather over.. I didnt use any
-Spray adhesive - you need this for the door inserts
-Material tucker - little tool for getting the edges nice for your door inserts (butterknife with no teeth would be just as good)
-Hog Ring remover - dont need it our seats dont use it
-Install video USELESS PIECE OF CRAP!

... some other stuff too i think but i dont remember what....

What you will be using most is just your hands and a nice cutting tool.

My advice would be just to take your time... dont be satisfied with your first layout... im not sayin take it off but make sure you spend some time really getting it to fix right with no wrinkles... trust me Ive seen some pics of other peoples installs and you definitly dont want wrinkles on your seats. The arm rests are a pain if you have em but the trick is gettin inside the seat from the back and releasing the clip holding it in. Also, if you do have arm rests this is where you will use a little bit of spray adhesive to hold the corner in of the armrest because for some reason the Katzkin pieces dont have the plastic clips there like factory.

With that said... oh man are you in for a treat! These seat are sooooooo nice. I loved them from day 1. They are extra padded and ooohh sooo comfy...

ENJOY!

fairly simple the silicon just makes it slide on a little easier.

Mac covered it well. My kit came with a bunch of hog rings, which aren't needed. The video will scare the hell out of you. It's about 30 minutes of them cutting all kinds of crap. You won't need to do much except for the headrests and seatbelts. Post some pics of you results.

I did a leatherseats.com kit for my Subaru Impreza WRX, it was cake and it took me about 6-8 hours for all 4 seats. I can only imagine a truck taking less time. I'll be damned if I'll ever do my Suburban though *yuck* That'll take forever
