so guys i come across a deal, should i keep my truck or should i sell my truck and use the money to pay it off and have a few grand left, then take out a 8 grand note an buy my buddies 99 camaro ss, black with t-tops, completely stock and super babied, then use the extra few grand to get out of debt and work on the car. i drove the car today and it runs smooth and pulls like a mother, paint is perfect. only things wrong with it is the drivers side window motor is going out.. big whoop. only reason he is selling it is cause he has a baby on the way an its time to trade the sports car in for a mini van. i like my truck but this is my dream car and its a virgin, nobody has tried to hop up the car an jack it all up, and i wana go fast. so whats ur guys opinions?

 

Get the camaro. Sounds like that's what u want

 

keep the truck. No sense in putting yourself in MORE debt for one. And for 2... just trust me. If you use your truck as a truck AT ALL you wont enjoy having a car for long.

 

I had a '96 SS with the LT1 engine, not the better LS1 engine you're considering. I loved that car, I drove it about 1000 miles per year. I was a beast. Fun as a toy, I would still rather have a pickup as a daily driver. I hate being stuck in traffic and not able to see past vehicles in front of me.

 

I say get the car. You can ALWAYS get another truck if you decide you liked it better. Its a little harder to find a babied virgin SS Camaro... Post this question over at Ls1tech too cuz over here most people are gunna tell you to keep the truck.

yea i really like my truck, but i really like the car to and i dont use my 03 as a truck really i just use it to get where i gota go an look damn good doing it. i have 93 k1500 i really do all my "truck" stuff in, idk im kind stuck cause i like my truck but i really want this camaro and i cant afford both at the same time, at least not right now, maybe later when i get out of the military i can have both. i think if i can sell the truck for the right price ill do it and then later get another truck, its kinda like ls1freak said its a lot easier to find a truck than a virgin camaro ss.

 

I would say keep the truck because it's more versitile. A camaro can carry two people somewhere fast. I truck can do the same thing, with sometimes more people and if in addition carry payloads, is safer in a wreck, is less likely to get damaged by pot holes and road debris, is safer during times of emergency such as flooding and in your case hurricanes, etc...

Just think of how pissed you'd be if that was your only vehicle and you had to evacuate out for some reason, you'd be hard pressed to pack your family and their belongings in the camaro.

 

its not my only vehicle i have a 93 k1500 that runs like a top

 

If you have a truck already, get a toy
