Default keyless entry problems

One day my keyless entry quit working, along with all functions on my passenger side door. I found the door problem to be a bad switch, which I picked one up off of e-bay for cheap. Now I have all of my door functions back, but my keyless entry still doesn't work. A buddy of mine also has an '03 which I swapped body control modules and keypads from (same part numbers on bcm) and the keyless entry still didn't work. Is there a seperate module for keyless entry? Any other ideas of what to check?

Anyone know how to reprogram keyless entry on '03 Silverado, or how much the dealer usually charges?

The passenger and driver side door switches are part of the module that operates the locks through the keyless entry module. The parts all have to have the same programming. The passenger side switch had to be programmed with the same codes from the BCM. No idea how much it will cost at the stealership.
This is for all 03+ GM trucks.
Technology can suck......

you can program it yourself, the passenger side door module controls the keyless (driver side has nothing to do with it, I've swapped mine for other reasons allready)... programming instructions may be in your owner's manual, otherwise I'm sure it's findeable out here somewhere, I've seen it before.

Last time I did one, on a older truck. You just hold the lock and unlock buttons until it cycles. Could be different now though.

Dug this up on SilveradoSS.

All transmitters which are to be recognized by the PDM must be programmed in a single programming sequence. When using this program method, all previously programmed transmitters will be erased upon the receipt of the programming signal from the first transmitter. The order in which the transmitters are programmed will determine its numbering position within the PDM memory. The first transmitter programmed will be transmitter #1, and the second transmitter programmed will be transmitter #2. The number stamped on the transmitter case is for reference only: #2 can be programmed as #1, or vice versa. Additional unnumbered transmitters are also available.

1. Close all the vehicle doors.
2. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder.
3. Press and hold the door unlock switch.
4. While holding the door lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF.
5. Release the door unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode.
6. Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter. (Repeat the previous step to program up to four transmitters.)
7. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter programming mode.

Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation. Seems simple. Hope this helps!
