Default LLY Duramax Getting it done at the Track

I ran it for the first time last weekend. It has now been properly defiled at the dragstrip and is on the way to becoming a 1/4 mile ho!

It did not reach the 13's like I had hoped because of terrible track conditions but I was happy nonetheless and the wife did well on her first pass too.

60' - 2.162
330 - 6.038
1/8 - 9.280 @ 76.53
1000 - 12.037
1/4 - 14.358 @ 97.19

I have a vid of the run, it is not too good but the 5-inch exhaust sounds pretty cool roaring down the track. The slicks were screaming pretty good on the launch too. Anyway, not bad for a single tune and the MPH tells me that there is good power being made. It did run hot though, it pegged the 1600 degree pyro with ease.

The wife snapped a pretty cool photo on the way back from our last Suncoast trip that I finally got around to downloading off the memory stick that the vid was on. I think it makes a nifty wallpaper.

Enjoy.

Right on!

That's almost exactly what i ran in my Z71 with the cam and stall converter. 14.29@97mph.

Track prep has to be dead on with that kind of TQ huh?

Yep, the slicks were not holding at all. I normally cut 1.8's at Commerce when they have done a proper job of prep and actually don't get stingy with the VHT. Hooking a 3/4 ton 2WD even with slicks is tough because it flat out does not want to transfer weight.

No suspension mods and 800 plus foot pounds makes it a bitch!

It is nice though with one tune moving 7,000 pounds of truck into the low 14's. It is enough to whip quite a few vehicles on the road and they never knew what hit them....

I think it can be done! The LLY has a bunch more to figure out with the VVT turbo but it will get there eventually.

Half the fun is trying anyway.
