Looking for 10's in ECSB next friday with new 408/L92/L76 setup
I'll be heading to Famoso dragstrip (california) again next friday looking to try and get this truck in the 10's.....also trying to get into the 11's on the motor hopefully.
Ran some mid 12's last friday on motor and now gotten in the parts I wanted to change and some other stuff and should run alot better this time out. Also ran out of gear about 1000 foot every pass with the 4.56 gears and 26" tires (motor was making peak power at 5800 with old cam, new one will pull through 6500) Plus best 60 ft I could pull was 1.94 on the little 26x11.5 et streets
I weighed the truck before heading out last friday and it was 5080 with me in it. Im taking about 300lbs of weight out of it before next friday (amps, backseat, roll pan rear bumper, spare tire etcetc, 100 lbs off front wheels/tires with stocks on it)
So looking for about a 4700-4800 race weight next time out. I just changed out the cam to a 24x/25x duration from the 23x/23x I had in it. Going to short belt, retune on my chassis dyno, 30x14x16 M&H DOT slicks on 16x10 wheels, stock front wheels/tires from the big chrome steel 18" front wheels.
Combo is a 9.7:1 (runs on 87 octane most of the time), l92/l76,edge 3500 converter 4l60e, 4.56 built rearend, all the bolt ons etc....was good for 454 rwhp. Should go 470-480 rwhp with new stuff on it....
In the middle of installing a dedicated fuel cell/nitrous setup. Will be spraying 250 on top through a custom twin fogger setup (90mm tnt ring, 6an feed, big solenoids etcetc)
Hopefully 11's are in my future on motor.....Dont know how itll run on spray...
4800lbs + 650/700 rwhp = ?? who knows
