First off, congratulations daddy-to-be! I don't believe that the resonance in the cab should be a problem for the baby's ears, but I'm no baby expert. My truck was fairly loud when my daughter was born (big Gibson muffler but dumped before the axle), and she would fall asleep every time we rode in my truck. Now she's 4, and I've since gutted my cats and she loves how loud my truck is, especially with all 3 windows open (rcsb with rear slider). I'd consult the doctor just to be safe though...

Another option is to disassemble your interior and insulate it with dynomat...

My truck with 3 in duals with bullets I made wasnt too loud for my boy. Makes him fall asleep faster than my wifes car. He makes engine sounds and gets louder when the motor gets louder lol

Isn't it funny how the little ones like it loud? Rosie loves it when I pick her up from day care in my truck instead of my Blazer...her room is on the second floor, and her caregivers always tell me "she heard you coming and said 'that's my daddy!'"

I always find my son at the door when I pull up. My wife says he takes off to the door sayin dadda dadda. He knows when his momma gets home too cause she's got squeaky brakes haha.

Both my girls enjoyed my loud exhaust systems. When my oldest was small, I had nothing but a cat on the truck with a straight pipe (and I do mean perfectly straight pipe) dumped in front of the rear axle. She liked it, slept good.

My 3 year old got to enjoy MANY different loud exhaust systems when she was smaller. She would be sound asleep before we made it to the end of the drive.

I left my wife's current car quiet. It is the first quiet car we have had since we have been married. The girls don't really seem to enjoy it nearly as much. It has a roomier back seat then the other vehicles, but that doesn't seem to matter to them.

I have found out, they like V8's. They don't like anything else, not even a turbo diesel V8's. They did enjoy the old 6.2L diesel we had. It didn't have a turbo.

My Rosie is a hot rod girl too, she loves it when we accelerate in the truck, and it gets loud and fast...plus, she loves that she gets to sit in the front since my truck is a rcsb and she has a great view of everything.
