Default loud chattering noise when in reverse???

well heres a new one guys. when i put my truck in reverse and give it some gas it makes a horrible chattering noise kinda like a saw, and it shakes the steering wheel pretty good??? no other driving problems at all. the only reason i noticed this was because i was backing up a incline so i had to give it more gas then normal, but now that i've heard it, it will do it everytime if i give it enough gas.

the flexplate doesn't spin backwards in reverse, so I doubt its that. Since it only happens in reverse I'd look at the transmission and rearend.

My guess would be the universal joints binding. If its making that much racket you should be able to see marks in the joint.

there's no play in the driveshaft and no visible damage. im thinking its got to be something with the steering cuz i feel it through the steering wheel so much and the sound is coming from right under the dash??

Why would it only be in reverse though?

I can't think of anything in the steering that it could be
