loud chattering noise when in reverse???

dont say that, i've never had any problems with this trans.. im really hoping its the headers rubbing the heat shield right behind the dash by the steering shaft.

lol.... sorry man!!!!!

I know how you feel!! But it cant be the headers rubbing since it torques over the same direction no matter what gear.

Something was mentioned about the u-joints, i dont think its them because they usually clunk when you put it in gear.

Too me, it sounds like the splines in the reverse drum have stripped. If they didnt strip out, the drum may be cracked.

really? i didnt know that. i just went out there and brake stalled it in reverse and it will do it every time. but my dad was under there and he said he didnt hear anything from the trans. also i think its weird i can feel it through the steering wheel and the noise is right behind it.

you can get wheel hop in reverse.

no lol i was just thinking of anything besides the trans. i still think those AEM headers that fit horribly could be making some noise, but not sure about the steering wheel shaking
