LS3 intake in a truck...

No loss of torque here. I kept the same torque between 2500-3000 rpm and gained around 25ft/lbs around 3500rpm and 35ft/lbs after that. HP gain was really good too. Of course I swapped in a cam that favored the new setup, but only raised the duration by a few degrees.
At the track I cut consistently better 60's, and I shaved 5/10's in my 1/4 while improving 5mph. My setup was very mild.
I'd say it's a good gain swap done correctly for all the naysayers. Also not to mention NOT one issue with the conversion. Made the truck feel 10x better pulling up top too.

Dezert1500, You seem to be the only one who really likes the intake. It's going on top a 408 with ported L92's and a 236/248 cam... So I'm assuming it would work well with the intake??

Most that don't like it have never tried it. They read what they assume is correct across a forum where everyone has an opinion, "big intake port, lazy throttle response", "short runners horrible torque" etc. Typical instances where false info gets regurgitated. Of course an improperly setup LS3 intake swap will perform poorly, so will any N/A setup regardless of intake port "shape".
On a 408 it will be a beast. That stroke will really make the torque shine and give you great power under the curve. You'll have no shortage of torque on tap down low. I think you'll have the best of both worlds, great torque and a top end that can really breathe for some stellar power up top.

That's definitely what I'm looking for, but I'm still debating on whether to just run the truck intake, or run the LS3 intake. The LS3 will require more modifications than I would like at this time. I am ready to get this thing in and running.

trim the alt bracket, use a 07+ WP and the Truck TB will clear (barely lol). Get one of the truck TB's ported, should work great on that 408!

Piggybacking on this thread, I am looking to put an LS3 intake and heads on a forged LS2 into a 2006 GenIII and also I don't have any of the above parts in hand yet so relying on pics. To make guessing matters worse I have a roots blower on top of an LS6 in the truck right now and I plan to go turbo. Two questions:
1. Looking at a side by side comparison online it looks like an LS3 TB might squeeze in (I have that in hand along with LS2 TB but no truck TB). Thoughts on the LS3 working?
2. Can you offer up any part numbers on your setup I can use to get from my returnless fuel supply to the intake (fuel rails, fittings, etc.) using the LS3 intake?
