i am confused on what you are trying to accomplish here? I always tune/adjust my MAF tables via a wideband on the truck....

I am trying to use an SLP MAF for an LS1 that I have lying around as a meter to measure flow. I am porting a set of 317s and I want to be able to track progress without the expense of having them flowed 25 times...that would offset the benefit, ya know?

Dewmanshu, how can I find out what is actually a "hot wire" maf? I wonder SLP will be able to tell me anything regarding the configuration of this particular MAF setup? They would probably have the tables I need, if in fact it does use voltage, however I don't know that they would give them up...

Thanks for all the info man, I am sure I will have more questions.

Okay, I just got some good (I think) info from SLP. They wont give me the voltage draw and associated CFM, but they did say that if you cut the diode out of the MAF, its a normal 6.0 Truck GM MAF. Apparently they are modified GM stockers, I didn't know that. And its the Diode that "runs" the SLP specific timing increase for a given CFM. Now, they question is if I can get the CFM and voltage draw table from a tuner?

Corey, I just read your tuning thread, and it seems that, like you guys are saying, the tuning is done by referencing Freqs, as opposed to voltage. Is the Freq generated from the MAF or is the output signal from the MAF (whatever form it may be) converted when it gets to the PCM?
