Yea sounds about right lol Just pop the fuse box out and look in the area between the battery and where the box would be. Should be there. Then you can run the wire up to the sensor and be done. Do you already have the sensor? If not, I think the sensor and bracket are cheaper than the sensor alone for some reason. I can see if I can dig up the part number if you need it.

Found the plug today but it wouldn't plug into the mirror. Plug only had 3 wires? Are there different plugs or all the same. I'm using an 03SS mirror w/ comp/temp, onstar and pass. airbag. Did I purchase the wrong one or should it still work? Wondering if I can just get a plug from an 03 and splice it?

Ok so far just have the compass on had to set my zone to 8. Compass not working properly direction off when north shows west. Does anybody know if they sit a while they take a little to recalibrate? Only driven truck for about 15 min. Havent had a chance to drive longer.

After you change the region it should have said CAL. That is when you drive around in a circle or figure 8 to calibrate
