Default Modding a silverado?

interested in a silverado SS or just the 5.3L.

Just curious if the 5.3L silverado can be modifyied to run like the 6.0L?

Is the silverado 2500 6.0L the same as they put in the SS silverado?

Can you put cam or heads in them? 5.3L and 6.0L

What kind of mods can you do to these trucks to run in 13's? 5.3L and 6.0L

thanks
Brock

Sure. The easiest mod is to replace the 5.3 with a 6.0

Someone can verify this, but I believe both 6.0 engines would be the same.

Sure. They are just like all other engines. Plenty of aftermarket support.

Same that you would do with any engine.

Yes. No. Yes.
They come w/. heads & cam already in them. But u can put different cam in/ heads on.

The 6L in 2500 was rated lower, I wanna say 320 or 325 HP. Someone else may know exactly.
The 6L in SS was 345HP.

Oh ya, welcome to PT!

Brock
2500= lq4 - little lower compression by piston design, Year dependent but different con rods.
SS = lq9 - little higher compression by piston design, and earlier lq9's had a little beefier connecting rod. More rated HP by higher compression and little more aggressive tuning.

When did this site become so rude and busy that no one can help out a new member? If everyone used the search button all the time, there would rarely be new threads. Sometimes you just cant find what your looking for when using the search button, or you simply cant understand what was previously posted. Maybe the previous answer didnt fit with your setup. If its so much trouble to answer threads like: will an intake help, or what muffler everyone likes, just dont answer it. Much easier than complaining about it.

I just did a thread cause I couldn't find somethin I posted in myself, no matter how I searched. It was frustrating, but I got to the root of the problem w/. a lil help.
