Pat, I thought u had the 14 bolt already in?
A kill sw. is a great idea.
But what's different on the '06 front brakes & Tahoe rears? I'm guerssin larger, but what size are u goin from / to?

More specifically, what size are those 390's? Like a 275/70/16 & how wide in inches?
Always neat to see others' suspension setups. Any pics of those huge tires or driveshaft loop (who makes that?)

gs7793 while stupid, my nephew lives in FL, & they told him he couldn't even have a truck in drive. A light duty truck is considered commercial, they say. I say that's b.s.

going to pick up a 14 bolt today actually...found a deal on one out of an 06 sss

the front 06 brakes are a bit bigger...calipers and rotors...17 inch minimum rim size
the tahoe rears are two piston instead of one.

the tires are 390/40/17 29.5 x 12 x 17 M&H drag radials dont have them yet....need to sell my intros first.

the DS loop i will fab up....thinking of making a new trans x-member and integrating the loop into it. or just make one out of some heavy wall tubing.

the kill switch will be a fuel pump interrupt.

the old alarm was kinda cool...a transmitter wired to the door modules that sent a wireless signal to a special remote control fuel pump relay...stock location. open the doors with the remote and it stays active for 10 seconds. unfortunately, the company is out of business and the remote control relay took a ****.

ill get pictures when i finally get to work on stuff.

-p

I did a lot of work at my apartment complex...just got lucky. Swapped my trans, did the intake gaskets and radiator on my Blazer, the list goes on. They were pretty cool where I lived though, but I'm sure that if I got caught I would have had to close up shop.

Sounds like you have some nice work ahead of you, I like the 14 bolt swap Keep fighting the good fight brother!

Thanks for info on rotor sizes, Matt.

Pat did mention a person would need 17"+. Which is great if someone has an '05-up.
