My little 6.0 project

haha, alright good to know. Guy told me it was an 01? but then again he said it had burnt valves not a blown head gasket
hmm, doesnt generate more torque or anything does it? I was planning on running an 80e anyway and maybe selling my 60e before the new motor desimates it.
any benefits to that? I'd like to mainly just spend money on a cam, rods, springs, trans, and maybe heads at the most honestly.

yeah, Im really not interested in doing a BFM build. I just wanna 6.0 so I can keep a slightly stop 80E behind it and not have to worry about my trans for ever.
Im doing a decent sized cam, maybe 10.5:1 comp if I can come by it and just let it roll. Maybe after I start/finish school and get settled in a place or whatever Ill start doin more, but right now thats a little ridiculous for me. Trying to keep it cheap and easy.
Any advantages with the longer crank??
I know its all iron right now and Im trying to ditch the iron heads. Im gonna rip it up tomorrow to figure out if I can fly without honing the cylinders and then get it in the process of being finished. appreciate the ideas and input guys but I gotta keep it kinda simple for now

No advantages, but if your already going to run a 80 your golden.. I would def tear it down, check it out re ring it, what not.. clean the **** out of the cylinders, with a scuff pad. Mine looked nasty too not that bad, but had water sitting in them, had rust, but cleaned up like new..

wd40 will work real good. that and a scotchbrite pad and you're good to go. than after you get it all cleaned up just polish the cylinder and pistons. you might even be able to get away with sand blasting a lot of the parts.
