do you have any flow numbers on the intake? jw what the difference is between the stock truck intake and the SSR. I'm wanting to do an intake swap, but I still can't find an intake that is A)affordable and B)flows good above 6k and doesn't suck on bottom end.

No, I haven't seen any numbers on it unfortunately. I figure it's gotta be better than a stock truck intake since it's designed for an LS2, and I wanted the truck-style with the longer runners for the better low-end. Plus it already fits a 90mm throttle body.

Well ****. I talked to the shop today and apparently the guy got busy last week and this weekend with another project, and he hasn't started on mine yet. Then he tells me he doesn't have a torque plate for my size bore. It will definitely be done by the end of the week, but he told me initially that it would be done early this week. I'm really pissed right now, if it was going to be two weeks I wish he would have just told me that from the beginning. He's either going to have to borrow a torque plate from another shop or buy a new one, and pass along 1/4 of the cost to me.

That's bullshit! You shouldn't have to pay for the shops tools. I mean if we asked our customers to pay for tooling after we accepted and quoted their orders we'd be out of business. That's fine if he told you up front, but not now since he already quoted you. Tell them to pay for it because it'd be a wise investement since you can recommend them to two more potential 408 buyer's (myself and Beto). What size bore are you going with? 4.030" right, seems pretty standard to me. Time to start buying some Gen III tooling.

It's going to cost me $150 extra. I'll try to work a deal with him where I recommend him to a couple friends who are building 408's (Beto and Todd) and see if he'll drop it. I guess I figure that I'm already spending about a grand with him, another $150 is not a huge deal. But either way, I'm not going to say anything else about it until I go to pick stuff up. Don't want him to be mad while he's working on my stuff
