Everytime I see you guys conversing it winds up being.....
You guys say your trucks are DD's but damn! How long has your truck been down Cody? Chris, when's the last time you drove your truck everyday for over a month? JK Alright I have to cut you some slack considering that inept tranny builder. I know, you should have the same guy build your 408, that's built all your 60E's. HA!
I think Kyle and I are the only ones who know reliability engineering, in that the 4.8L is clearly superior. It may not be the fastest, but it'll start and take you where you want to go rain, snow or shine. It's the Timex of engines.
OK I'll stop now.

No, nothing let go, just some tired rings on the old #7 cylinder. I noticed it when I did my last cam swap using the air hold tool. I'm not sure on the leakdown and I don't what to know. There's no telling how long it's been like that too. Lean dyno pulls and trips to the track. Driving it everyday.....if it hasn't let go yet I don't know if it will. I'll find out soon enough when I pull it apart, if I'm ever done with my re-model.
I still drive it everywhere everyday. She's been good to me.
OK back to how Chris' engine is going to blow up the 80E!

LOL you wish!!
My truck has been good since I did the swap back in May, maybe down for an afternoon or a day or something here or there to fix a small problem or add something or whatever. I'm getting excited to drive it again!! I don't know how you go 15 months Cody, I go nuts when it's down for more than a couple of days. The only reason I haven't gone crazy yet is because I know what I am waiting for......

Honestly it has gotten to where I just dont even care anymore, thus it has taken so long to get running. Only time I really feel like getting it up and running is when there is a get together that I could take it to. Also life has just put things behind on the truck. You are absolutely going to love the pure tq of a 408, I know my 418 put a smile on my face when I did a 4hi launch.
