I like the number designation better, and so it will be from here on out on PT.net. Anyone using NBS/NNBS/OBS etc will be banned and their account deleted.

I don't care either way.
but the OBS/NBS/NNBS I figured would just shift as time went on.
The current NBS will become OBS, the NNBS will become the NBS, and the NNBS will be the next one out.
they are just abbreviations anyway to describe which new body style you have. So it only makes sense that they shift over.

If that were the case, OBS and NBS terms would have already shifted, but instead, somebody had the brilliant idea to invent the NNBS

There is pretty good reasoning behind the obs/nbs/nnbs. Most of the truck formed originated between 2000-2005 and during that time the 99-07 style was the newest style of trucks. People have been calling it a NBS truck for almost a decade now.
Of course people didn't plan for the shift in the names when the new style trucks came out, but it's a simple way to explain what type of truck you have. When you say you have a NBS truck 95% of the people on here know what you're talking about. When you say you have a GMT900 about 50% know of the top of their head and the rest have to go search to see what that means.
Just call it a 99-07 NBS 88-98 OBS or 07-up NNBS. If that offends you so much then call it an 07-up GMT900 Silverado, but you're going to get just as many questions as you would as if you put NNBS.
