Default need help with crankshaft question

i have a 2006 6.0. im not too sure if it has a reluctor wheel or not..i found a remand. 6.0 crank on ebay for cheaper then i coudl get mine machined and was going to just go that route. but the one on ebay is a 58 tooth. it has a solid wheel, my 6.0 crank has 2 gears that look staggared..question is, will the 58 tooth work? its going in my 2003 1500 in place of a 4.8.

No you can not use the 58 in place of the 24. The sensor is also different between the too.

If the Machine shop has the tool, the reluctor wheel can be changed out.

im wondering if it would be cheaper just getting the crank machined or to buy a remaned crank, which can be had for 130-150 buck shipped.

5.3 5.7, 6.0 all use the same cranks, but you will need the RW changed out to the 24 tooth one. Buy OEM not a remaned oned unless it is a OEM unit

i decided to just get my factory crank machined. $75 bucks. isnt too bad..but could anyone tell me what reluctor wheel size is on this 2006 6.0 crank? and what size would of been in the 2003 4.8 that was in my truck from factory? are they the same?

Don't for get even thought they used the same casting the 5.7L had a 1 inch hole gun drilled through the center of the mains. This is important because if the plug is missing in the back you will have a large oil leak...

Also the the balancing is different for each Engine Size and it should be re-balanced accordingly.
