now, the ls2 timming chain..ist that the gears and all? or just the chain? im gunna need the gears too since im goin with a 3 bolt cam...unless the stock cam gear is already a 3 bolt on my 5.3

It is 3 bolt. They changed to single bolt for the Gen IV engines.

anyone know what head gaskets i should run? im running 243 heads milled .25..do i just stick with the 5.3 gasket? or would ls1 MLS gaskets work?

I used the headgasket set from GM performance, $35 for both gaskets. Same gasket used for NNBS 5.3 engines and stock replacement for LS1 will reply back with part number.
