Default Need Help. Mass Air related?

OK, since i have installed my W4M Tuned pcm, i have had engine code that i cant seem to get a grip on. I had the crank relearn done. The code has came up as mass air flow, and one code came up saying it was running lean on banks 1 and 2. this dont mean much to me, i dont really know the most about the technical aspects of engines and wotnot. Can someone try to explain whats going on to me? Also it was suggested to me that i get a higher flow MAF. been looking at the granetelli 85mm (part number 350115-C) Can anyone reccomend this for my setup? Im supercharged by radix, with k&n fipk. Any help/info is greatly appreciated. Im noticing a miss at an idle also.

don't buy the aftermarket maf. no need to. Is your installation rock solid? The IAT moving and wire splicing that was done, are you a 100 sure it's done right? I am sure if you call magnacharger they will have a list of "most likely the problem is for maf codes". You do the install or a shop?

However, one must ask, how long did you drive the radix "stock" before w4w tune? If you did the install and never drove magna's tune around you might wanna do that first. If you did have the magna tune for awhile with no probs, call jesse and tell him the tune is causing the particular codes.

edit your signature and put your vehicle in there so people can see what driving with what mods and help narrow your troubles down and maybe ask better questions for ya.

Sorry, guess i was sorta vague. hers sorta the timeline on my truck:

bought it new last march. Put about 5000 miles on it in about 3 months or so. Felt it was broke in enough to my liking, so i then got myself the flowmasters and the k&n FIPK. noticed fair differance in performance with those two things alone, but that wasnt enough. I then did some reading (not enough reading though) and bought myself a superchips hand held programmer. I really wasnt happy with it at all. I put another thousand or so miles on it, and broke down and bought the complete radix kit from proficient performance. I did the complete install myself. was very careful to ensure i did every step exactly as the install manual said. Got the charger on and plumbed, and reverted to my factory program from my superchips programmer cause the kit came with its own tuner. Things were fine and dandy, i babied it for a few hundred miles to ensure everything took proper seat, and nothing was fishy. So things were all good. But i wanted to take out the torque management, and still wasnt really happy with the tune that the radix programmer provided. So i called Jesse Bubb and got me a different pcm. Put it in and had some problems. He forgot to program it for the higher flow injecters that the new intake had. so sent it back to him, and he reprogrammed for it. then i got it again in the mail a week or so later. Popped it in, got the engine code for crank position relearn. so i went and had that fixed at my local dealership, wasnt about 100 miles or so later that i started getting codes again. Took it to another mechanic other than dealership and he took the error out. it was mass air code. so when it coded again, figured was same thing, so sorta ignored it as oil pressure was fine and it was running great. Took it for a built up tranny, and thought id have the code checked again... mass air code still. so programmed it out and went on about normal everyday driving. Took back to tranny man to fix an exhaust leak they created when building tranny, now it codes mass air and claims banks 1 and 2 are running lean. I just want to know what to do, cause it does have a slight miss now and it scares me. Im pretty much mechanically ignorant if i dont have nice instructions in front of me. so any help is great and as much detail as possible is awesome.

Thanks again!!

Brandon

Well, that's specific...what's jesse's take on it? Forgetting larger injectors...hmmm...you gotta imagine he is slammed with tunes to do, he should for effiency be "cookie cutting your tune", missing larger injectors sucks though. More importantly, sounds like you don't mind putting money into...cough up the mail order as a bad investment and get a dyno tune. Not bashing jesse, but it seems he probably missed a few things, past performance is looking so good.

Don't hammer on it (get into boost) until you work out your issues, on a dyno tune or whatever. If you are gonna enjoy the lifestyle of "modding" a Wideband is probably one of the best investments for a boosted vehicle BTW IMHO.

anyone think it is possible he programmed it for a MAF delete?.....try unpluging your maf and see what happens.
