Default Need help with my wheels! 22x10 guys please

alright....

right now i have 22x8.5 wheels with 265/35/22 tires. the rear are getting done to 22x10 and im not sure which size tires i need in the rear. id like to keep them the same height or SLIGHTY bigger. ive been recommended different sizes by everyone. 285/35 295/30 305/30 315/30 which one is it? keep in mind id like them not to be crazy expensive either....

thanks!!!

First, lets look at what the numbers on the tire size represent.

265/35/22

265 is the width in mm

35 is the sidewall height in a percentage of the width

22 is the wheel size.

Here is the formula: 265/35/22 = roughly 3.65" sidewalls (265mm x 35%/ 25.4 to get inches).

285/35/22 = roughly 3.92"

290/30 = roughly 3.42"

305/30 = roughly 3.6"

Keep in mind this is a rough estimate to finding your sidewall height as final height can vary by manufacturer. Your best bet is to use the information above to get you a few size options, then go to your local tire place to get final specs(height) on the sizes you are looking for.

I have 285/40/22 on a 9.5 inch wheel, and I think my tires are 31.4" overall height. I would have to confirm that though, which I can do on tuesday if you need it.

Hope that helps.

i would say 305/30s it would be 1 1/2 inches wider and .1 inches shorter . a 315/30 would be 2 inches wider and .14 inches taller. this is compared to your 265/35
