Default Need Some advice! 2003 SS silverado? radix?

ok guys heres the deal im thinkin about pickin up an 03 SS silverado with 60k miles. and im unfamliliar with the AWD systems? weak links? such. now i do know they have the weaker 6oE trannys so i wont bee too rough

also i have a radix sittin in my garage dien to get put on the truck lol if i get it and i was wondering if it would be a gamble? it has a 3.00 pulley and runs 7 psi WOT and the only other problem is the closest place to tune wold be 200 miles away to tune it! i was wondering if you could throw it on and run without tune and the computer compensates or what?

thanks guys

they have a 4L65e trans, a slight improvement. The AWD system is awesome and with the Radix on the LQ9 these trucks are terror on the street.

No, you will NEED TO TUNE!

Do it!! You will LOVE it..

-The combination of AWD + 4.10 gears + Roots blower (instant torque/boost) is very hard to beat stoplight to stoplight as bill mentioned..I used to have the same setup with a few more goodies...

-The weak link is the stock g80 rear and the stock trans..which is a 4l65e and has 5 pinion planetary gears and a few beefed up internals over the 60e

-Since the combo (6.0 + Radix) is so common a good mailorder tune should suit you for 7psi...Good Luck

Just as the other guy’s have already suggested, you will most definitely need to get a tune really even before you crank it, much less go trying to drive it around. There is more to it than this, especially since your already starting with a smaller pulley than what would have came on the supercharger for your particular truck, but at the bare minimum the injector flow rates have to be changed to allow for the 42# injectors that should be in your Radix kit from the stock 24.7# units or you will wash down the cylinder walls. And just like what was already suggested, the combination is so common, you shouldn’t have any issues by just going with a mail order tune from your favorite supporting vendor to the right of the page.

Wheatley can send you a good starter tune and he is close enough you could go to him and get it dialed in, in person

Yes you need a boost pump to run inline with the factory one.
