The 4L60E is only a problem once you start to mod. If the rear has the G80 then it can be a problem, I have a 02 with 83K on the clock with the stock rear and 35" tires. I have had the transmission rebuild BUT I beat the snot out of my truck and the previous owner had a 5th wheel in it and its just a 1500.

Well, one of the sunset orange trucks that I am looking at had a new transmission installed last year so that should (??) take care of the tranny issue I would hope. I was just concerned with the other parts of the drivetrain.

If you drive it and don't abuse it and take care of it you should be fine. Just do the maintenance that us needed to be done and it will last for ever.

Post some more info on the truck.

Your truck looks awesome!!! I am looking for an extended cab atleast or possibly a quad cab, both with atleast the regular-sized bed. I need the space both inside and in the bed.

Not very common. I think it was only available in 2001 & 2002. Wish they would bring it back, it would look awesome on the new trucks.

Ya, tell me about it. I have fixed about 25 of the 2003 -2006 gm trucks with cluster issues around here. I take them apart and replace the faulty components and then reinstall them. Lots of happy truck owners I have made considering GM wants around $800.00 in canada for a new truck cluster. GM should be ashamed of themselves for not giving warrantee to everyone no matter what mileage for the cluster problems.
