It's built on the GMT900 Platform....same platform as the '07 Tahoe, motors will be LS2 derivatives in several displacements (all I'm 100% sure on is 5.3, and 6.0)

I've seen several '07 Silverado test trucks here at the resort and I can tell you with confidence that the RC's DO NOT have those god-awful bedside bulges (the RC doesn't look half bad actually), I'm pretty sure that the Tahoe bumper will bolt onto the trucks as a couple I saw here had something that looked like the tahoe bumper on it. This is the first I've seen with the roof-racks on it and quite frankly they can remove them again IMO

 

did a quick doctor up looks alitle better reg cab but still ugly lets hope like stated befor they lose the flares on the reg cabs

 

The headlights kill me. Definitely don't like the stacked look....I really like the side-by-side ones that the SUV's and Av got.

 

Is the hood popped in that first pic?? Or am I dreaming?

It's popped. I like the truck! It's always a difficult transition from old to new. I'm sure the old guys were bitching about the C10 too. I have never liked four door crew cabs, so that particular truck isn't what I'd buy. I bet the thing would look pretty good in RCSB form. The normal non-Z71 would be lowered a bit too, lose the fenders to a degree, and maybe lose the stupid ricer lights up front. I like to have a little space between the headlights, but I can understand that doing it as a single unit probably keeps costs down...

i actually like the rc, not too big on the bulges but it does look like the colorados big brother, i like the colorados by the way the just dont have any good motors

 

I am not crazy about it. What is up with the front bumper. Almost looks like there is a piece missing. Kind of like there is some red fabric on it?

 

With little exception, it looks like everyone hates it. Someone should start a poll. I agree that change is tough. Though I don't think this one changed for the better. Remember when the Ford Taurus came out with those oval rear windows? Now they are back to normal. Toyota made a funky stepside that I am hoping has been taken out of production for the sake of mankind. I'm still not a fan of the '03+ frontends, but this '07 doesn't look like a chevy. They look like Caddy or Land Rover headlights. Some of the bulges look Dodge-ish.
