Nitrogen would be the way to go, but a nitrogen extraction/compressor system is too expensive for a poor bastard like me.

Alot of the aftermarket tire stores, such as Pep Boys and Costco I believe, are using nitrogen now...not sure if it's standard or an upsell. You can tell which tires have been filled with nitrogen by the valve stem caps, they are green instead of black.

Cool. I had already kicked around the idea of doing this since I work at a power plant and we deal with nitrogen alot, just never got around to it. Didn't know it had to have different valve stems.

j/k Most tire shops these days already use Nitrogen.

I don't think that the valve stems are different in construction, I believe that the caps are green to let people know that the tires are filled with nitrogen.
