torque management....i remember back when my truck was bone stock it would peel out brake stand. maybe you have really new brakes too and they hold well. weird how it wouldnt brake stand but it would peel without the brake.

Brake Torque Management(BTM) limits electronic throttle opening if your foot is on the brake. Its in the tune and can be removed.

I know EFILive can do it. Not sure about HPT or the various handheld tuners.

Other than that, a custom tune.

My 05' VHO doesn't have BTM. It has the stock tune in it still. It will boil them down with a brake stand. I have drive by wire as well.
I've never even heard of BTM.
Is it a new PCM program in the trucks?

i dont think so because im pretty sure i had it in my 2000. i think it might be the same thing as plain TM but still activiated under the brakes because for the life of me i could not break anything loose with a stock everything 5.3

I too had a 2000 5.3L ECSB silverado. With a stock pcm and 265/75/16 BFG All Terrain KO's, and Power Slot rotors/ Hawk brake pads, it would do a brake standing smoke show with no problems.
I've never seen this that you guys are talking about.
